1. Who we are
Block Puzzle (“the Game”) is made by GameUpp (“we”, “us”) and published on the App Store and Google Play. This policy explains what data the Game handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies only to Block Puzzle.
In short: Block Puzzle has no accounts and never asks for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location. Your progress stays on your device. Ads, analytics and purchases are handled by the third-party services listed below. We do not sell your personal information.
2. Data stored on your device
- Game progress: scores, best scores, Journey levels, garden, daily puzzles, coins, power-ups, themes and settings (sound, music, language, colour-blind mode).
- This data is saved only on your device. We do not upload it to our servers. Deleting the Game deletes it.
3. Data collected by third-party services
3.1 Advertising — Google AdMob
- The Game shows interstitial ads and optional rewarded ads (watch an ad to get a reward). VIP and “Remove Ads” turn off ads that are not optional.
- AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address and approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and ad interactions, to show, limit and measure ads and to prevent fraud.
- iOS: we ask for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, the advertising identifier is not shared and ads are not personalised with cross-app data.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) is shown before personalised ads. To change your choice later, clear the Game’s data or reinstall it and the form is shown again.
- Google’s policy: How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
3.2 Analytics — Google Firebase Analytics
- We record anonymous gameplay events (for example: a game started or ended, a level was completed, a screen was opened, a power-up was used) together with an app-instance ID, device model, operating system, app version, language and country/region.
- We use this only to understand how the Game is played, balance difficulty and fix problems. It is not linked to your identity.
3.3 Purchases — Apple, Google and RevenueCat
- Coin packs, the starter pack, “Remove Ads” and the VIP subscription are paid through the App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your card details.
- RevenueCat receives the store receipt and an anonymous app user ID so that your purchases can be verified and restored.
3.4 Game content updates
- The Game downloads seasonal themes, event settings and the list of our other games from our server (hosted by Supabase). These are read-only requests: no personal data is sent, but like any internet request they reveal your IP address to the server, which may keep it briefly in technical logs.
3.5 Notifications
- Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push token is collected. You can turn them off in your device settings.
4. Why we use data (legal bases)
- To run the Game and deliver purchases (performance of a contract).
- To show ads that keep the Game free, and to measure them (consent where required; otherwise legitimate interest for non-personalised ads).
- To improve the Game with analytics (legitimate interest; consent where required).
- To meet legal obligations, for example tax records kept by Apple and Google.
5. Sharing
We share data only with the service providers above (Google AdMob, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Supabase, Apple, Google Play) for the purposes described, or when required by law. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with data brokers.
6. Retention
- On-device data: until you delete the Game or clear its data.
- Firebase Analytics: event data is kept for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically.
- Purchase records: kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat as long as required by law and their policies.
- Advertising data: kept by Google according to its own policy.
7. Your choices and rights
- Change ad tracking: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android Settings → Google → Ads (reset or delete the Advertising ID).
- Change ad consent (EEA/UK/CH): clear the Game’s data or reinstall it; the consent form is shown again.
- Remove all ads that are not optional: buy “Remove Ads” or VIP.
- Depending on where you live (for example GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, KVKK), you may ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, object to or restrict processing, and complain to your data protection authority.
Because we have no accounts, we usually cannot identify you. To make a request, write to privacy@gameupp.co. If you want analytics data deleted, include your Firebase app-instance ID if you can. See also Delete Your Data.
8. Children
Block Puzzle is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact privacy@gameupp.co and we will delete it.
9. Security and international transfers
All network traffic uses encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union, under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will also be mentioned in the store release notes.
